Short summary
We studied sources, vertical dispersion and properties of aerosols in a Greenlandic fjord system and identified four main types: marine background, local anthropogenic, growth events, biomass burning (BB). Anthropogenic emissions increased absorption coefficients, BB significantly increased the cloud condensation number concentrations, growth events were very similar to background with regards to scattering coefficients. Aerosol properties and origins were distinct throughout the boundary layer.
