One of the reviewers still raises two issues that need to be addressed before I can accept this paper for publication.

Concerning the second issue, I recommend that the authors write at least one paragraph where they bring their main finding to the context of what other investagations have recently learnt about haze formation in China. Otherwize, the originality of this research (what are the new findings?) remains unclear for the reader. The place for such discussion could be a separate sub-section at the end of section 3 or alternatively, it could part of the conclusions (section 4).

The authors have addressed all the scientific issues raised by the referees. They should, however, carefully go trough the grammar of the revised text. There are, at least minor problems with the use of tense in the last version of text.
