The responses to the reviewer's comments are thorough and comprehensive. Reviewer #2 has requested rewording to omit the phrase "driver" where it is not appropriate, and the substitution of "covariate" has been implemented throughout in many instances at the author's discretion. I trust the author's judgement about the most appropriate use of these terms in different contexts. However, the new Figures 6a and 6b are titled "Top Drivers", whereas Figures 4a and 4b are titled "Top Covariates". Unless the authors feel that "Drivers" vs. "Covariates" are a fair description of the difference between summer and winter, I suggest the titles for Figures 6a and 6b be changed for consistency to match those of 4a and 4b. The authors may also wish to re-scan the relevant sections of the manuscript to ensure that the descriptions in the text are consistent with these titles and with the use of the two terms.

Additionally, the authors may wish to reconsider the use of the word "driver" in the title. I will leave this comment at the author's discretion.
