This study characterized the changes in chloride depletion under the influence of alkaline species, and further analyzed subsequent formation of corresponding organic chlorinated compounds using high-resolution mass spectrometry. Results demonstrated that the weakening effect of organic amine on chloride depletion is more pronounced than that of NH₃ due its stronger alkalinity and nucleation ability. This further enhances our understanding of the mechanism influencing chloride depletion.
