Short summary
Using a free-jet flow-tube system, we observed a wide range of radicals and closed-shell products from NO3 oxidation of five monoterpenes (α-pinene, Δ-3-carene, limonene, β-pinene, and β-myrcene). Results highlight that the product formation is highly structure-dependent. Our study provides individual product yields, radical distributions, and HOM (highly oxygenated organic molecule) yields, which are all essential for correctly implementing monoterpene + NO3 oxidation mechanisms into models.
