I believe the paper is suitable for ACP given the important information relevant to experimental work, as noted by referee 1. The challenge in deciding where such papers lie across Copernicus journals can hinge on the level of new algorithmic developments, for which I think this paper does not have enough to warrant moving across to GMD.
