The authors have largely addressed all concerns raised by the two referees (including a change of title). Since both referees recommended that the manuscript be published subject to either “minor” or “technical” corrections, then it is my judgement that these corrections have been duly made and the ms can be published.

I do, however, note a few possible technical improvements that the authors may wish to consider in preparing their final version for publication. These are listed below. I also note that the paper is still, despite some edits, quite lengthy. There might be some scope for additional effort to make the narrative more succinct.

Once the ms with technical corrections is received we can proceed to full publication.

Units of sL are used in two places. These should be dm-3. Likewise it is unusual to use scm-3 and this could be explained in the legend or replaced with cm-3.

Fig. 3 both the tick labels and units are given as negative values; only one should be -ve

Fig. 4 the SEM data plots and line are very indistinct plotted in a pale grey colour

Fig. 5 the text on the figure is in a very small font and difficult to read

Fig. 7 the legend box appears to have shifted left and overlaps the edge of the chart

Table 4 repeats the sampling details for Case 4 from Table 1, and simply adds in the details for Case 7. Why not give the details for all Cases (1 – 7) in Table 1 and dispense with Table 4?
