Electronic supplement
======================================================================

This electronic supplement contains CFC-11 and CFC-12 zonal mean
climatological data sets and a Linux shell script that can be
used to estimate stratospheric lifetimes from the data.

Each climatological data set is stored in a separate subdirectory
that is named according to the instrument or model:

ace/clim.tab      (ACE-FTS satellite data)
hirdls/clim.tab   (HIRDLS satellite data)
mipas/clim.tab    (MIPAS satellite data)
clams/clim.tab    (EMAC/CLaMS model data)

The shell script was developed under Linux (with Ubuntu V13.10).
It requires the programs 'awk' and 'gnuplot' to be installed.

To get instructions please run:
scr/lifetime.sh
